Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began to train in the sports of combat. Aspen Ladd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing, and wrestling prior to her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd continued to build on her victory during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She defeated all her opponents within the first round. Then, she went back to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen to defeat her in a unanimous decision, putting an ominous mark on her records in her amateur. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her record for amateurs to 8-1. Aspen made her pro debut in 2015 after signing to Invicta FC. Invicta fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta '11 and she won by first-round TKO. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen move from Bantamweight to her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used the superior skills she had learned in wrestling to take on McGill. Aspen ended her fight via the TKO (3rd round) (elbows as well as punches). Aspen took on Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy in an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) because Ladd didn't make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final bout with the club. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks defeated by unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She dominated Lina with the ground and pound strategy which resulted in a TKO second round victory. She continued her dominance and racked up an impressive victory in her next match against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229. Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the first round. The winner also got the bonus for performance of night. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee the fight was between Sijara-Eubanks to win her first major fight. Ladd was victorious in by a unanimous decision following an intense back and forth battle among the pair of fighters received the Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie put an end to Ladd's winning streak within 16 seconds. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya after the third round at UFC on ESPN 7. In a last-minute substitute for her UFC match, she faced Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. It was a unanimous decision in her favor.
