Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She received a B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis. Ellis is an American actress and producer. She is actively involved in theater, film, as well as television. She began acting on stage before appearing in mainstream, independent and TV series. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing in BET's epic show The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she won critical acclaim as well as numerous nominations and awards, including her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. Her career began as an actress in 1995 when she played Ariel in The Tempest. She has performed as a character on Broadway with roles in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. The most recognizable part of her career is her roles in the films Men of Honor, the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. Her role as a regular on the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
